Move a Product Forward a Step
Last updated
Every Product follows a Workflow: the Steps a review goes through from the box arriving to getting paid. The standard Amazon Influencer Workflow is:
Received → Recorded → Edited → Uploaded → Approved → Fee Collected → Completed
Each Product moves through its own Steps on its own, so you always know exactly where every review stands.
Use the Planner
- Open Products in the side menu.
- Choose the Planner view.
The Planner groups your Products by what they need next: Awaiting Receipt, To Record, To Edit, To Upload, Awaiting Approval and Collect Fee. On a large screen you can show the groups as Columns or Sections; on a phone they’re always Sections.
Move It Forward
Each Product card has a button for its next Step, labelled with what you just did: Received, Recorded, Edited, Uploaded, Approved, or Paid for money. Click it and the Product moves to its next group.
You can do the same from the Product’s own page, in its Workflow checklist. The List and Cards views are for browsing, so they don’t have the button.
Steps That Ask for a Date
Three Steps open a short dialog instead of finishing in one click, because the date matters:
- Received asks when it arrived. It defaults to today, and you can pick an earlier day if you’re catching up. This date starts your deadline: Tuskl adds the Contact’s Turnaround to it and sets the due date.
- Fee Collected asks when you were paid and the Amount Received, pre-filled with the agreed Fee. Change it if a different amount landed, for example after a processing fee.
- Reimbursement Received (on Products bought on a reimbursement) works the same way, pre-filled with what you paid.
Dates can be in the past, but not in the future.
Good to know: typing a date into the Product’s Deadlines section doesn’t tick the Received Step. Use the Received button so Tuskl knows it has arrived.
When It’s Finished
When the last Step is done, Tuskl asks you to confirm, because the Product then moves out of your In Progress list. You can still find it any time: on the Products page, open Filters and set Status to Completed or All.
Made a Mistake?
- Undo: on the Product’s page, click Undo on the most recent Step. On the Planner, it’s Undo Last Step in the card’s menu. Tuskl tells you what will be cleared before you confirm. Repeat it to walk back one Step at a time.
- The brand wants changes: once a Product is Uploaded, use Changes Requested (on the Product’s page, or in its menu on the Products page) to send it back for another round of recording and editing. Your received date, due date and any money already recorded are left alone.
Good to know: the paid date and amount can’t be typed over afterwards. To fix one, Undo the payment Step and mark it Paid again.
Deadlines
Once a Product has a due date, Tuskl keeps an eye on it: Due Soon, Due Today and Overdue show on the Product and on your dashboard, and a short email lets you know the morning something is due. A deadline is met once the Product is Approved.
Your Own Steps
The account owner can make their own Workflows under Workflow Templates in the account menu: start from a copy, add Steps such as “Unbox & Test”, reorder them, and set a new default. Changes apply to Products you add afterwards.
